How do i get the window winder handle off a vauxhall astra?please?

The best way is to buy the special tool at your local auto parts store; however, lots of experienced mechanics and body shop types just use an ordinary shop rag. Slip part of the rag behind the winder and twist and pull it back and forth until the rag catches in the U-hook and pulls it off.
circlip behind winder arm,
vauxhalls normally have a metal u shaped clip that holds the winder on. if u look between the door card and the winder. bend the winder slightly you should see a metal clip. get this out with a screwdriver or something and the winder should slide off. pretty easy once you have the knack.
couple of points though.
1)dont lose the clip!
2) watch your eyes, they have a tendancy to ping off when removing them.

to be honest with you I wouldn't bother trying to get them off, I would just get another car, and not a Vauxhall.
first answer is correct u need a little tool that fits behind the window arm and then u can pull the circlip off pain to get back on though. good luck.
