How do I remove my Peugeot 106 aerial?

am looking into replacing the aerial on my roof of my Peugeot 106 Zest 2 but I am unable to remove it easily. I thought that like most aerials it was just a twist off aerial but it doesn't twist off easily so I'm wondering how it comes off?

The aerial itself only bends up and down on an elbow joint to allow the aerial to lie straight up or lie flat against the roof of the car. Can anyone help me?

Answers:
It's French, so if you threaten it, it'll probably just surrender.
Ask that gang of youths coming along the road.
Pull it out or use a Hammer
Park it anywhere in London for about half an hour. I guarantee when you come back your problems will be over.
It does just twist off, maybe you will need a pair of pliers.. when putting back (if successful getting it off) apply a little grease first
there is a plastic cap on the front face of the aerial. when removed it all becomes clear.

or you could wait till it falls off "it is french"
wire cutters
just unscrew it i do every night because of the gang of yobs coming down the road
Use a hacksaw to take it of and then replace with a designer metal coat hanger.
Had the same problem, use a set of self grip pliers, after u get it off spray the screw in part with WD40 so it does't seize up any more.
