How many lessons before you passed your drivng test?

I begin mine very soon but I've been driving for years on and off.How many do you think I will need to learn to drive the way they want me to.(I'm a fast learner)

Answers:
about 10 with my dad, and another 10 with an instructor.
I had about 10 but it was over 15 months passed first time, with one minor (youre allowed 15 minor mistakes)
I reckon i didnt have any and the guy testing me was an idiot. lol

If youve been driving on and off then it shouldn't take too long.
i had 26 lessons and passed my test first time i was lucky
nonne, didnt take the test yet

Illinois law requires 25 total hours of supervised driving time. I think 8 of those hours are with an instructor. I forget its been a while for me.
took me til my 3rd time. i was scared, cuz i would have to wait after my failed 3rd attempt. i find the people who know less about driving do better. i was driving for a long time before i got the permit, and knew all the rules, but tend to get casual at driving, which is a no no. those newbies are are nervous, so they stop for 5 seconds to be safe at a stop which is more then the 3second rule. hah
Had 5 but that was 25 years ago , got a mate who is a driving instructor he Say's the average now is 40 lessons because the examiners expect learner drivers to be as good as their instructors .
When I passed my test, there was still a man walking in front of the car with a red flag!
on average it is though that 1 for every year of age, but that is increased to 1.5 per yoa after the age of 50 but thats all a load on rubbish we're all different with differing abilities lets just hope for your bank balance your a natural.
I never took any formal lessons until after I had all ready received my licenses; got them on the first try. I had been driving for a couple of years around our farm, etc. and that is where I learned to drive. Then, after gaining my license, I did take Drivers Ed to lower my insurance rates. I believe that you will do find when you take your test.
I had driver's ed in high school but I had been driving on a farm for years prior to that. I never had any problems driving.
I had countless lessons and sat my test 4 times (3 times when i was 17 and passed when i was 23). When you have your first lesson your instructor should be able to tell you roughly how many you need to get you up to scratch.
I would suggest trying to get someone to take you out as i found having only 1 hour a week was not enough (sadly no one was brave enough to let me loose in their car lol)
Even if you are a great driver it all comes down to your test day, so just relax and try not to be to nervous or to cocky (as i was)
Good luck
I had about 28, but the last 8 were just to be sure I passed first time - I did.

Had never driven a car before, only cycled (commuting, racing), so had road craft sorted as well as surface conditions, gearing & awareness of other road users.

My sister toook about 50 or 60 lessons over a 3 year period - passed third time.

I recon it might take you 6 or 7 lessons to adjust your brain to be 'dumb' again and lose the bad habits.
Eleven, passed first time. No other driving experience except driving lessons.Cool eh.
had 3 lessons had been driving for years on my uncles farm suppose i was lucky really
3 lessons, had a test date before i had a lesson, the look on the instructors face was priceless when i told him
