What do I need to do to register a monkey bike?

I have a monkey bike I would like to register- how do I go about doing this?

Contact your local DVLA ofice. You need to register the bike first. Depending on year of bike, you will either get a Q plate, or an age-related number plate. DVLA may require you to have the bike MOT'd to prove road wotrthiness, or you may have to have a Police vehicle examiner look it over. Then you need to insure and tax it.
You will need the monkey's birth certificate & he may have to take a drivers test. Good Luck! :o) LOL

I am not sure whether this would warrant a Q plate. If scratch built you may have to have the vehicle tested for road worthiness.
