Would you buy a chinese Rover?
Answers:
The only Rover I would ever buy Is the old metros 1994+ 1.4 GTA/ GTI I know it sounds strange but they drive like go karts and a really good fun. other wise I would avoid Rovers at all costs.
I wouldn't buy ANY kind of Rover. Even one that barks!
Never
Yes, I would have no problem buying a car made in China.
Becuase it can't be any worse.
I owned one Rover for 14 years. Was reliable, towed like a steam engine and accelerated like stink. Had poor image, looked pretty crap and fell in value - like all cars.
Would I own a Rover? If it looked good was reliable and buying it might help keep someone in the UK in a job, maybe.
Yea i have had 2 River 200's P reg's (bubble shape) and they are really good car's Nippy comfortable NIce looking and apart from the Head gasket problems they have they are quite reliable due to the Honda engines, i used one as a rally slag and it was vry competative.
Also Steve C you are absoloutly Correct they mate thye did handle like go karts one of the reasons tey were one of the most stolen cars in the UK i wouldn't own A metro though tbh.
Benji
No i would not
Only with a honda engine or a diesel but would have to be in very good condition.
common problems,
-rover engines are crap.
-break pipes, abs, body corrosion and weel bearings dont seem to last long, even in newer ones. correct me if i'm wrong.
Its just from my past experience[maybe my driving].
