I have a vauxhall zafira 16l 16v , will it tow a caravan?

seeing as its a 1.6 I think you will manage it, but at a push. You may just about get it up to 50mph on the motorway which is the slowest you are legally allowed to go.
I always find that popping into your local dealer and having a word with them is the best thing, their advice is free and its professional.

I have a Bailey Ranger 5 berth and tow it with a 03 Zafira 1600cc.It will tow fine but is a bit slugish on inclines.I fear this may eventually lead to extra wear and tear on the engine as i find myself going down through the gears on a hill climb.A bigger diesel engine would be better but you will have no problem with your Zafira especially if your van is smaller than mine and you load over the caravan axel.Happy Caravaning!
my boyfriend said it should have no problem towing a 19ft twin axle.. he said you can get some blocks from a local caravan shop that go on the rear suspension that stops the springs getting squashed down to much.. when looking for a caravan look at the towing weight this is where the caravan meets the car so you know how much weight you are putting down on the car,,,,, i hope this helps..
