Air filters?. for 10pts?
Answers:
K&N, Shop around, ask, a little more but thats not why you are buying one and the more air/mice/rabbits/cats it sucks, the bigger the sound. Try Courtenay (Vauxhall sepecialists) Don't get a big exaust, the note of the engine will change enough, the standard one can cope. Over the top exausts sound silly, remember its not a supercar!
dunno?
hm,mm
What you're looking for is the exhaust pipe/muffler. That's what makes the car sound different, and they're pretty expensive. Check an auto parts store website for pricing.
Best in what way, reliability, upping performance? What do you want it to do?
Try C.A.F. they do a good performance range.
Wow living the Dream with a Astra.
Right oh, dude.
10 out of 10 for Optimism.
No idea how much these things R but try Halfords etc any Motor Factors & C if there are any on-line.
K&N Air filters are probably the best for you ride. They are generally around $50 but last forever because they can be cleaned and recharged. They actually improve gas mileage because they flow more air. They will change the sound of your engine slightly but the muffler is what makes the most difference. Hope I have been helpful.
If you are really looking for an air filter, that is intake. The best is a K&N filter, bar none. As for "loudness" that is exhaust. You need a new muffler with less baffles and resistance. Think of your engine and exhaust as one unit. If you slow down the resistance of air, your car may run hotter, but louder. An exhaust is a snap job!
?
Best is one from Vauxhall, car will last longest
if you aint bothered how long it will last just take it off altogether and enjoy the extra vavavoom
I would see if I could find an K+N filter for your car. They are a little more expensive but you can clean them yourself and they free up a little horsepower too. Never heard of them making more intake "noise" than usual unless you remove the airbox altogether.
