Does anyone else own a '02 Clio 1.5 DCi? and do they have recurring EGR valve issues?

I used to own a 54 plate 1.5DCi that the EGR warning light kept coming on. I took it back to the dealer who eventually (after me nagging them) replaced it under warranty. I had this car for a year then traded it for a Scenic 1.9DCi. Guess what , less than an hour after driving it away, the EGR light came on. After 2 visits to the dealer , the EGR valve was replaced!. I have just traded this in for a petrol Laguana. Why, well apart from the deal I got, the service dept told me the EGR valve was a common problem on ALL Renault DCi engined vehicles!
