Was that a Hyundai or a hair dryer there is very little difference except the hairdrdryer has more power
What is the question? You have made a statement that indicates you have car problems that needs a Car Mechanic not Yahoo Answers. :o)
If it is an auto box you need to check the hydraulic gear fluid its red in colour this is what is responsible for changing the gears on your car
There shouldn't be much clutch adjusting, but rather you are looking at a problem with the hydrolic clutch cylinder.
If your car is in Nuetral when you start it up, any automotive reltated problems that would make your car not kick over are not related to your clutch.
Now, on the other hand, on a manual car where you don't even get the car's starter to kick in, then you are looking at the nuetral/clutch safety switch might be going. This is the switch that stops you from starting your car when off the clutch.
If you have problems getting into gears when the car has just been turned on, then more than likely you are low on hydrolic fluid for the master/slave clutch hydrolic. You can use regular DOT-3 brake fluid to fill it. Check your owners manual for where to fill it (usually it can be seen from the top of the engine bay, but every car differs. This happened to me before, so I can related if that is the problem.
