Just bought a 1960 BSA road rocket 650cc for £3000.How much would this have cost in 1960?

Answers:
Between £300 and £350. If it's a real Road Rocket then you got a good deal. Be aware that some unscrupulous people turn bog-standard A10's into RR spec bikes.
about 500 or so not so sure
I'd say about £750 max, new. can I have a go on it? please.
My father bought a BSA 600 about the same date and it cost him £550,hope this helps.
Round about £400.
u should think
at that time
this heell of a bike would not exist
In the US, you would have paid about $695 US Dollars for it new.
Those old British bikes have a good following here in the states and you should expect to pay $5000 for a fully restored one.

Take care of that one!
it woulld have had cost you around £100.00 But now you havent made a bad buy thats if its still in class one condition.
