Sorry i try again, just bought a diesel fiesta?

its was from irreland originally and it still has its irish plate on it should i get it changed over to an english plate or just leave it ,does it really matter

Answers:
It doesn`t matter if you change it or not you can drive here in the UK with it without problems . make sure you register your details with the dvla and then your sorted .
It matters to the police and the country you reside in. You have to change it to the country/state you reside and registered the vehicle in, or the fine can be HUGE, and the handcuffs tend to chafe the wrists.
If it is on a Northern Irish number it is already registered in the UK, so its up to you if you change it to a mainland number or keep the original number. The DVLA will offer you the choice when you register it in your name.
If its on a Republic of Ireland number, you'll have to register it in the UK, so you'll get a new number.
