Do i have to take the rearbox off to replace the release bearing, on my vauxhall nova, 1.2i, 1992?

do i have take the gearbox off the engine to replace the release bearing, which are in the gearbox..or can i access the bearing through end cap screw?

Answers:
Dont mind the others including vauxhall dealer. These cluthches and release bearings can be replaced without removing the gearbox. FACT. did one only yesterday
Yeah you probably will have to take off the housing but check the fanbelt if its a squealing noise when you release your clutch.I have a 1991 mk1 nova and i thought it was the release bearing on mine
You need to remove the gear box you cant access through end cap screw.
Of ccourse, that's a 14 year old 1.2 Nova you're talking about there. Let it die. Please.
