Honda CG125 ignition change?
I've just bought a new ignition with 2 keys and tried taking the face off to change it, took all the screws and speedo cable out but the thing still doesn't wanna come off so i guess its the ignition stopping it, how hard is it to change it and would it be a job that i can do personally as i don't know much bout mechanics, i'm only an animal carer lol

Sorry if its genuine, but TBH I would never give advice on changing a berrel on a bike when someone has 'lost' the keys. If the bike is genuine and legally yours Honda will supply new keys, relatively quickly and cheaply. If the bike is hot, I hope you get caught. Hope its genuine and you have bought the bike, but in future keep your keys seperate, and if you only get handed one key when buying a bike walk away
Look at the new ignition switch. There should be 2 holes. The switch is bolted to the upper triple clamp through those holes. Locate the bolts on the old switch and remove the bolts. If they are "break off" bolts (the heads snap off when the bolts are tightened to prevent tampering), they will have to be drilled out.
Depending on the age of your cg125, you could get a replacement key for your old barrel, replacement keys cost about £5. There would be a number on the base of your old ignition lock, if its a genuine Honda one.
what year of Honda is it? Brazil?.
I think on some models of cg125s the key is a 'clip in' barrel that mounts in the clock assembly.
If your methodical you should be ok. Buy a haynes manual if you plan to keep the bike a long time.
Off the top of my head the clocks would be bolted to the front by 10mm nuts and you will need to remove the front light to unplug the ignition switch, which is held in by two philips screws on the sides of the light bowl.
If your worried about separating wires, make note of what wire plugs into what i.e orange wire plugs into black wire with orange ring on end..
