Can anyone help me regarding my 04 triumph sprint st?

He's trying to hose you to the tune of around a dollar a mile, it sounds like to me. The new Triumph motors are BULLETPROOF. At most, you need an oil change, lube job and a couple of odds and ends. Don't go back to this clown and steer all of your friends away!
the dealer is taking the pish
it is a big service, according to the triumph service schedules, but I dont believe it can be anywhere near £3k (I dont think Ive ever had a car service over £800- get it costed elsehwere).
Triumph reccomend service interval is either milage or year based, in this case year based, after 4 years they reccommend the follwoign items are servcied.see the reference for details)
the service does reccomend checking valve clearances cam belt tension etc.
Triumph reckon your bike should have done soemwhere in the region of 20,000 miles by now. So its your call, do you want to adhere to the time based intervals and keep any warranty or servcie record, or do you want to take a flyer and do it based on milage - up to you
Newer bikes are built to much tighter tolerances than the ones we rode 25 years ago. They need more maintenance than the old ones, just like newer cars.
This however sounds like your dealer might be trying to pull a fast one. Get a second opinion. Bonus if you can score an owners manual with service recommendations. Try checking with the manufacturer.
You can safely wait until 10-20,000 miles till having the valves adjusted. No damage will be done to your bike without adjusting the valves.
HOW MUCH are you sure you didn't go to a Plumber
he is ripping you off mate you have at least another 5000 miles and take it to a Triumph dealer if you can..Or even if you know a few bikers one of them should know a decent and not expensive mechanic
The bike is barely worth £3000! Give rodger at windy corner triumph a bell (google it) and he will sort you. No bike EVER costs £3000 to service!
£300 is ballpark for a big one and thats if you dont need tyres/chain sprockets etc.
Stuart, you are being made a fool of, take the work elsewhere.
Yes, it is a big service, but £300 not £3000. Take it somewhere else.
