No spark at plug leads.?

Being a mere female where does the spark come from?

Answers:
from the distributer
plugs spark when two of the leads inside touch together, best get it rewired!!
Follow the plug leads. They all meet at the distributor but are generated in the coil.
The spark is made by the coil. You dont have a distributor on all cars.
You do not say what model is the car.
Could be a few reasons.
1.could be a defective coil.
2.could be defective plug lead/s
3.could be broken rotor/distributor cap or if the car has distributor points, the points have no gap/worn out.
4.could be a broken distributor shaft (not turning)
The initial power comes from the coil.then a HT lead takes the current to the Distributor cap.this then sends the current to the spark plug. No spark? Take off Distibutor cap (Note how it comes off) are the terminals inside covered in a green looking powder? is the inside of the cap dirty? indeed is the cap cracked?
Tell you what take it to garage...oh sorry you cant coz it wont start..
