Can someone from the US drive a car on an American licence over here(UK) while on holiday?
Answers:
Yes, for the same reason you don't need a visa to visit the UK (close diplomatic ties). A US driver's license is valid in the EU (and any EU license is valid in the US). You'll have to get insurance, but all rental companies should include it automatically when you rent a car with a US license.
sure, why not.
Yes, no probs.
no, they need an international license.
I can see no problem other than age.
Don't you guys get licences at 15? - The legal driving age here is 17.
Also you do realise that Gas is $8 a gallon here!
yes no probs but remember we drive on the left
You may need an international License
AAA has them. There is not a test if you have a US license.
Sure they can as long as your not a resident of that country.
yes, your american license is valid in the UK, just as a UK one is valid in the USA
They shouldn't be allowed too, but probably can with an international license especially.
yes they can
