Is it legal to have neon lights under your car?
Answers:
You can have them on, on a uk road as long as you cant see the bulbs ie the neons are well hidden and the glow is all you can see on the road
only if they are switched on , on private property
That all depends on what state you live in. If you give you local police department a call, they can tell you.
It depends on what state your from. In CO its only legal for special events and on private property.
I'll bet it depends on what state and country you are in. I think it's legal here in Georgia. but I don't know.
u can have them turned on whilst the car is stationed or parked.but whilst in motion you can not have them on inside or outside the car.this sucks i know.but its another way the goverment can give u a nice big fine!
I think in IL they are illegal
In SA they are illegal don't know about UK
It is illegal on public roads in the UK, you may not get stopped unless they are blue in which case you will definitely get stopped - it happened on TV the other day on a police reallity show.
You are supposed to display them at shows or exhibitions only.
It's illegal to switch them on - only the prescribed lights (ie those that your car came fitted with) are legal to use.
The police often do nothing about this though (unless they are blue lights, when they get a bit annoyed).
It is definitely a crime against taste and style to have these chav accessories on your car.
its a touchy subject they r not either, certain colour neons affect speed camera's I know for a fact blacks and violets do. you can have them on when your not moving and not parked up on a duel carriageway. insurance companys dont like them and the police tend to want to do spot checks more often.
i think your allowed providing they are not the following colours . blue red green or orange. can give the impresion of an emergency vehicle
U will get stopped by the police and told to switch them off
Yes if they are on so just dont get caught
probably not. i was actually talking to a cop when five cars drove past with neon lights. the cop just waved to them. I'm pretty sure neon lights are legal but people might get suspicious of you
