I have an old car 1955. Is it possible to use the registration number on another Car, if I transfer it?

Answers:
I guess U can.i did it in Michigan. I don't know about your state!
This is quite illegal but it better be another 1955 car of the same make or you'll get busted the first time you get stopped if its 1995 or something and that will not look anything like a 55.
It's your neck.
Yes you can do this in the UK.

Here is more info on the DVLA site - http://www.dvla.gov.uk/faq/faq_transferi.
ye if you contact the dvla the reg is yours as lon as you dont swa it around other cars
Define "registration number" please. If you mean VIN (vehicle identification number) it is unique to the car it is on, and can't be transferred. If you mean license plate, probably.
YES registrations can be transferred to another vehicle with one exception and that is : you cannot transfer a registration to a vehicle older than the vehicle to which it relates i.e you cannot put your 1955 registration plate onto a vehicle first registered in 1954, 1953 and so on. I assume that you know that all vehicles over 24 years old (or thereabouts) are exempt from the car tax.
Hope this helps
