Is it possible for a motorbike to be caught speeding by a mobile speed trap?

as motorbikes dont have front number plates and they always zap you head on?

Answers:
Unfortunately, yes! While the van itself cannot stop you, the operator is often in radio contact with a patrol car parked near by who will stop you if your speed is excessive. We're talking 40 odd in a 30 not your 10%+2 rule.
Oh yeah!
It's still possible. Often the zapper man has another man further down the road for just this incidence.
yes they can get you.

my mate lee is always getting caught for it. we cant work out how they do it
yes, do not speed
You mean the hair drier thing they point at you? If you are going mental they will probably make a note of your number and get someone to nab you farther down the road. They love nicking bikers.
No they can't get you. So speed away
yes of course it is. dont speed
Yes.

yes not all of them zap from the front although a large number do (to catch teh drivers face as well as the number plate. Ther are those, particularly in vans which do rear as well for bikes
Your damn right you can get cought speeding. Been there done that
yep u can but has anyone heard of this spray u can by to put on your numberplate so when they take a photo it reflects it back so they cant see the number plate genious
The police are crafty buggers, I am afraid.
Sounds like you need a radar detector for bikes. Look up "RAM mount" radar detectors.
yup
The answer is Yes, but depending on your speed you can avoid the camera taking a pictures of you.
The reason you may have heard this is because motorbikes have a high top speed and can get past the GATSO's before they take a picture.
This applies to cars as well as bikes
Speeding is a big problem with motorcycles, as most of the newer ones can easily go 100MPH or even much faster. I would say 'yes', they can probably catch you, if nothing else you can't outrun a radio.
Yes. Trust me.
man nowadays with technology yes they can
yes, they take your number down as you go past. Been there, done that, got the fine! Sorry Bud
No question about it. A Speeding motorcycle will get caught by a speed trap.
no they cant so go as FAST as possible!
You might be able to outrun the police cruiser, but you can't outrun his Motorola radio. Obey all speed laws, and stay safe out there!
oh yes, most definitely, know a few who found that one out!
if you are zapped head on then great, you get away with it. i take great pleasure in riding fast at speed cameras.
