What is the best gearbox oil you can use in a Kawasaki kx 85?
Answers:
first make sure your not using synthetic gear oil it will make the clutch slip on a two-stroke then if that doesn't work adjust the clutch cable there is a threaded bolt for adjustment in the middle of the cable by the frame and bars the adjustment was more than likely changed for the old clutch to work properly when it started wearing out!!

do not use the 90 weight gear oil. very very bad. use synthetic it is better, i have been running maxima synthetic mtl 85 weight for about 10 years, nothing even compares, in a 2 stroke. it protects like 85 weight and yet is as thin as 5 weight. being synthetic, not like the conventional 90 weight you are using. it is called the clutch saver formula. and i have never had clutches last as long as they do when i run this stuff. they make the maxima mtl in a few different weight. dont be scared of the 85 label. i took in a my older 92 rmx to have the service mechanic (the one who builds they race bikes) spec the lower end(bearings, tolerances etc.) a while back. and he said he couldnt believe how clean, appeared to be no wear, and especially for being a 92. since then i have ran it in all my bikes race or play.
