I still have the old UK paper driving licence?
Do I need an international licence to drive in Australia??
Answers:
As long as it is a full UK licence, it does not need to have a photo card.
I drove out there last autumn (admittedly with a photocard) and it was just like driving in the UK. They drive on the left and generally stick to speed limits, more than in the UK. They operate speed cameras like here too, but some sates, notably Queensland, do not adopt the 'Keep Left' rule on motorways. However NSW do use this rule.
Signage is also very good, particularly for tourist attractions and I would have no problem in recommending driver there
