Has anyone flown by Delta Airlines recently?

Have booked from NJ to Atlanta in the next couple of weeks. Is the airline any good, you hear bad reports about Delta, so I just wondered if anyone had any experience of them? Thanks

Answers:
I think overall they are a decent airline. Since I live in Cincinnati, 90% of all flights are by Delta and its affiliates. Therefore that is the airline I fly the most. Those that had a bad experience were a result of bad luck. You never know what mood the flight crew is in that day but they are trained professionals who know how to do their job. Also with Delta in bankruptcy and their employees being forced to take major pay cuts, the morale will not always be 100% positive. But from my experiences, the crew has been pretty friendly.

I don't expect you to encounter any problems and think you should have a good flight. Just make sure you eat something before you board or bring some food with you.
well my dad likes delta and he is the main piolet of the company but a little secret the air line is bad
I flew from UK to Detriot by Delta. Found them very good, were on time, nice food and the stewardesses were very helpful. Would def fly with them again.
deltas really good.i ave\nt had anyoine that flew with them complain
I just flew from Italy to Atlanta and back on Delta. I was very impressed with the service. The flight attendants were very nice and helpful. The food was even impressive for airline food. I enjoyed my flight. I would defenitly choose Delta again.
i flew with them about a month ago then before that as well.they were pretty good except be cautious about which gate they say to be at because i was flying from va to atl and from atl to cali and the gate i had to be at in atl was way way off and my whole layover was spent RUSHING to the gate i was supposed to be at!
Delta has cut some the flights I used to prefer. And, their equipment could use a little upgrading. But, you know what? They have always been on time and they never lost my luggage. It was convenient to book with them on their website, even the connecting flight on other airlines, and reserve the seats on the airplane diagrams. I hope they can bring back the flights I used to use.
Hi >
Used Delta, and generally they are OK, but.
Got me nicely up and down the USA eastern sea-board.
The seats & flooring were all different colours, as though they had been borrowed from another airline. The cabin crew were rude, impatient and abrupt.
The landings were not the smoothest ones I could do, which does not say much for the flight deck folks.
However, I am in one peice, and at say $100 a go, it all works.
What the heck for a short haul ?

Should be OK.

Bob.
Depends if its a Delta owned aircraft or one of their smaller partner aircraft.usually a CRJ type aircraft. I've experienced major delays every time I've flown Delta through Atlanta. Friendly enough staff.but frequent gate changes and delays on the tarmac.
they have a bad reputation in the UK for trans atlantic but I found them okay
You will hear good and bad stories about each and every airline. You may have a great experience while one of your friends has a not so decent one. I have flown Delta many times, find it to be no better or worse than any other domestic airline.
