try reading through that, it might give you an idea,, its a bit long but you may get some clues
Even assuming it has a kick starter, you won't get it to start without a battery, even if you manage to cobble together the necessary wiring. It needs sparks, and they have to come from somewhere, unless you can convert it to a magneto ignition system - and if you could do that you wouldn't be asking here.
If it has a permanent magnet generator and a kickstart, you can remove the battery and fit a large condenser instead, this will allow the ignition system to work. Can't remember the specs of the condenser, but it was about 5cm long, 30mm in diameter and coloured blue.
Look for one in a breakers, take the loom and get a battery, if you want the bike to work properly. It'd be alot of hard work with no real point to it.
