If you mean ever seen in the United States, I think it's the Yugo. Worldwide.dunno!
My dad's front wheel fell off his Allegro at 35 mph, so it must be high on the last of bad cars!! I think the FSO Polonez had to be about the worst going around in the 80s however. remember those?
The worst car ever made is the Ford Pinto. Period.
Growing up, having a Pinto was the equivalent of wearing a Scarlet Letter.
It wasn't great for sure, but the worst car ever (and i know bad cars having sold many) was the vauxhall Frontera. too many reasons to go into, it really was crap;
Every PINTO in the world.
I had a lemon-yellow FIAT back in the 80's - the color fit the car, damn thing spent more time in the shop than in my garage - FIAT stands for " Fix It Again Tony"! Worst car EVER!
I think it got something like 8 miles to the gallon, and had a tiny little gas tank - about all it was good for was driving from one gas station to another.
nope, it's a seat marbella in bright turquoise. Here's a nasty pink one for you to look at.

Ford Fiesta!
I word 'Yugo', I think they were made in the early 90's
a very small car, which you were guranteed to die if you got in an accident (for that reason), also very unreliable as it did not start most of the time
Renaults are the worst!
The worst car ever made, hands down, is the Yugo.
The engine was total junk.3 cylinders, and everything else was plastic and broke if you looked at it too hard (the interior was so cheap that a friend of mine snapped off the turn signal lever while on a test drive and when he got back from the test drive he discovered when he got out of the car that he had ripped the seat just by sitting in it.and this was a brand new one back in '87, on a dealer's lot!). and they were TERRIBLE when it came to parts or service. Dealers were resorting to calling junkyards to find parts from wrecked ones because they couldn't get new parts from Yugoslavia. Of course the company bankrupted, sticking all the owners with undependable vehicles that they couldn't GIVE away.
No contest.it's the Yugo.
VW JETTA
Buick Opel
I'd vote for the Yugo
Here is an article listing some of the worst cars from the 1980's

any car or truck built by ford
I think the worst cars ever made were all those built in Eastern Europe during the communist era. Lada, Moskvich (USSR), Skoda (Czechoslovakia (since bought out by VW - Audi and subsequently much improved. No longer the butt of jokes that they used to be), FSO Polonez/Polski Fiat (Poland), Zastava/Yugo (Yugoslavia), Dacia (Romania), Trabant, Wartburg (East Germany). It appears that since the fall of the Berlin wall, "Trabbies" have become collector's items, despite being an environmentalist's nightmare.
The pinto is ugly, but I had a Ford Focus the 1st year it came out in 2000 and it had over 20 re-calls. It sucked!
i think it was the austin metro !
any type of four wheel drive, they are toally without reason, look stupid as does the people who drive them
