they are surprisingly big. in my trunk right now i have. a deflated slip and slide (2 parts), a garden hose, 3 camp chairs, and room to spare. personally, i think two people could probably fit. you shouldn't have any problem.
Dont know about sebrings or back packs, but a lincoln trunk can hold four sopranos, according to big tony.
Hard to say, depends on the pack style. External frames snag, catch and do not fit odd spaces well, Internal frame packs seem to squash into odd shaped spaces better, there is also the question of how full or compressible the packs are and how fragile the contents are. daypacks usually can be squeezed into allmost any available space, especialy the smaller ones with less rigid frames or no frames.
