It baffles me. how do they do it??

The modern method is to use a helicopter but often the cables are too heavy for a helicopter to lift so it is done in stages.
The first stage involves laying what's known as a construction cable between the two peaks, this is a fairly thin and lightweight cable that is run-out behind a helicopter in the same way that a fishing line is run-out from a fishing reel. The pilot can easily detach the whole mechanism should this be necessary..
With the construction cable in place it is used to haul a heavier cable across, the construction cable is wound round a mechanical drum and it hauls the heavier cable behind it.
With the heavier cable in place this can be used to haul an even heavier cable, this process is repeated as many times as necessary. The final cable that suspends the cable cars can be the width of a persons arm and can weigh hundreds of tons.
Before the advent of helicopters a similar process would be employed but using lengths of string and rope carried down from one peak, across the valley and up the next peak.
Helicopters? Just a guess!
Sling shots. lol.
By helicopter, first it takes a rope across, and then they use a pulley to winch the cable across.
They use African Swallows. (not laden with coconuts at the time).
Eg. by shooting a thin wire over first, to pull a thicker and then a thicker..
Or have youever heard about a Helicopter?
Unless they put the cables there before the trees grew!
Helicopter or the trees may have grown after.
Carrier pigeons because they also know their way back!
Maybe they helipcopter a guide line from one to the other then winch acroos the thicker cable. Or a bloody big bow and arrow.
helicopter
I know it's strange
they drag the cable down one mountain and up the other, and then winch in the cable, tightening it, lifting it off the ground. i think. possibly.
Helicopters
They laid the cable before the mountains were there. Really, that's how they do it. They have a direct line with God who tells them where he is going to put the mountains at. That is why you don't see cables all over the place waiting for the mountains to grow..
