I have failed my driving test four times due to nerves, any tips on passing would be great.?

Answers:
Take the test in your own car. I did. That's if you have one, and if it's still allowed.
take drugs and catch the bus , thats wot i do :)
Just relax and take things nice and easy, maybe even chew some gum while your doing it. Don't be cocky and listen to the every word the person who is scoreing you is saying, that will help big time.
Relax, start out slow. Think of something else you have done that was great and try to do the same with your driving.Try not to think about whether or not you are gonna pass or fail.
If you are going to be nervous during the test then you are going to be a nervous driver.

A nervous driver is who causes accidents and problems on the road.

Go back to drivers training and continue to train until you feel comfortable behind the wheel. Go out with your parents more until you feel comfortable.

Past that just ignore the fact you are taking a test. Just like in school a teacher can give you a sheet of paper and say nothing and you will just do the work. If she adds the word "test" to it you freak out and can't answer anything. It is just a word, no reason to have fear of it.
Go for a long ride so that u gain more confidence in ur driving skills. When u r confident u can beat the nervousness. Think that U can win n u'll win
Try and relax, too much thinking beforehand will only get you wound up
Get loads of practise in before you sit the test again, then you'll be more relaxed.

Make sure you check out the area near the test centre, so you know all the roads, hazards, and can do all the manoeuvres safely.

Knowledge dispells fear.
Spend a few days picturing yourself doing all the right things as you take your drivers test. You now have experience and know what the test is all about, so imagine yourself doing very well and passing. If you practice this over and over again in your mind, you will have much more practice in passing than you've had in failing. Your brain cannot tell the difference. One warning - don't let ANY thoughts of failure enter your mind as you are doing this. Stop those thoughts and replace them with pictures of doing well.
ok here goes.very few people never pass their drivers test.imagine the person giving you the test sitting on the toliet.that way it will knock them off that horse you have put them on.yeah on the toilet naked wearing a clowns red nose.now go out and pass that test!
just concentrate on the instructors directions and think of him as the same person who taught you to drive not as someone who has the say so as to your passing also dont think of your pasts tests start fresh and be confident you know you can as you have already had someone teach you how to start the vehicle and put it in gear good luck
when i took my test i just treated it like i was on a driving lesson i only made a couple of minor mistakes but i passed 1st time so dont worry about it next time good luck
Don't try so hard take the test with the attitude that you don't care if you pass or fail. You've got nothing to lose at this point just relax and drive through the test like it was any other drive.
Do what the pros do (as in public speakers and theater actors), and get a 16 oz. coffee and a heavy donut. Load up the coffee with sugar and cream, (I call it sludge), drink and eat this caffeine/sugar loaded combo.
Your brain will be occupied with regulating the blood sugar and the caffeine will relax the pituitary gland, releasing serotonin and keep adrenaline at manageable levels.
This will create a temporary "Chemical confidence" that should help you with the nervousness. Think of it as your own Super Mario invincibility star without any costly side effects.
You need DeStress Stratagies :

Hypnotherapy
www.hypnos.info/cds/cd10.html

Do some research to see if any of this could help.
If it is just nerves try taking pro plus you can get it from any chemist it is a relaxant that will calm you down and it is legal and not addictive good luck on number 5.
Me too!

Passed on the fifth attempt.

I did two things differently.

Firstly, I drove everywhere and my wife corrected me as we went along (a great relationship test!). So if you have a spouse, good friend or relative, just go everywhere with them. I must have driven hundreds of miles. When visiting friends / family we avoided the motorways and got in as many roundabouts etc as possible!

Secondly, I thought my driving instructor was treating me as a cash cow. Probably wasn't, but it felt like that. So I got a new instructor and did a deal with him, for x amount of cash he was going to teach me until I passed. We drew up contracts etc. In the end he probably made the equivalent of 8 lessons clear profit out of me, as I passed, by the skin of my teeth.

Good luck!
study the book (if it is the reading part) if driving part take classes (hire someone to teach you) (check phone book)
the instuctor is just a normal person find something to talk about that you like. it will relax u. plus if u can find some thing the like too then u wont be so worried
good luck! you just have to act like there a friend not a instructor
Take more training with a registered driving school and drive with a good driver beside you for long and short journeys. Don't stint on training. Have a good night's sleep
If you still fail, perhaps you should consider not driving at all as a nervous driver is bad news and a danger for everyone.
Yeah i failed it for the first time last thursday cuz i was sooo nervous..like nervous to the point where i felt nauseous.im not like that when im regularly driving with my instructor and im not nervous on the road.its just cuz i kept thinking i was gonna fail, etc.i dont knwo what to do to pass.i have to go back next thursday.any tips on how to calm the nerves and pass? i was thinking of trying the coffee trick that one person suggested, but how long does that effect last?
