Which estate car?
Answers:
VW Passat. Peuget 405 but only the deisel.
VW would be the best bet. Stay away from Volvo, they can be pricey to fix. Audi A4 or A6 but are usually more than the VW.
The Passat really is the best bet 1.9 TDI if you can but the petrols are good and the mpg is reasonable. At this price you will be lucky to get full history so be careful. As soon as you get one spend 100 quid and get it serviced, oil change, air filter, plugs (if petrol)
Best of luck happy hunting.
The volkswagon Passat estate, cheap and reliable. Then again an astra estate would be much the same with a better availability of second hand parts.
have you considered a people Carrier, like the Ford Galaxy for example. They offer the same space as an estate but are more versatile when it come to seat configuration. Might be worth your while to check them out. Good Luck
At £1500 you want a Vauxhall 17TDi.They are roomy, reliable and nippy and will go forever more
I have an late model Escort Estate. Great car, quite roomy inside but not too big so parking becomes a pain. You have roof bars so a roof box can be fitted for extra storage also. These can be picked up well inside your budget.
However, as the other guy mentioned, I have a new found respect for people carriers as there versatility is fantastic. Price could be a problem though. e-bay?
