Help! What coolent does a 1100 BMW Bike engine use?

Go to your local bikeshop,any premixed coolant should be ok, I am a motorcycle engineer and I tend to use Motul Inugel coolant whenever I have to do a coolant change.
It is more important that you change the coolant every two years, rather than the brand of MOTORCYCLE coolant you use.
Motul, Putoline, Agip, Castrol are all good.
Beware some of the cheaper car type coolants, cars have room for bigger radiators and water jackets, and so have a greater capacity for coolant, than bikes.
Bike coolant has to work harder and carry more heat away faster because of this, that is why I specify coolant specially developed for bike engines. They tend to have a higher glycol content.

find fill tank..put in 50/50 mix of any engine coolant suitable for aluminium engines.fill tank when cold to max mark.
50/50 mix of a good quality fully inhibited Ethylene Glycol antifreeze for aluminium engines, and soft or distilled water, so that the water you put in is free of dissolved impurities and salts.
2, or 4 cyl? 2 cyl are air cooled on early models and air/oil cooled on later ones.( 'Boxer' engines) 3 and 4 cyl are 'watercooled' use coolant for alloy engines or get genuine BMW coolant
