Post office rates have changed recently. Royal Mail have a website providing details of these changes. Check for other carriers I am not sure about companies like Securior etc. The one thing I would strongly urge you is to invest in proper insurance for your shipment. Royal Mail does offer a compensation as do other carriers but be careful that it is adequate to cover replacement. Make sure your parcel has ample fragile stickers on it or fragile glass stickers as this is the only way parcels are "handled with care". Once I had a parcel to deliver and it worked out cheaper to take a flight and deliver it personally.
