keycode on dash lit engine fails to start

Answers:
Sounds like the immobiliser isn't recognising the chip inside your key. Try the spare key. If that fails, you'll need to use the red key to reprogramme the immobiliser.
try your spare car key
I've been called worse things
Try the spare key, and the red master key. The keys have chips inside which the immobliser should recognise.
If yoo dont have the other keys, there is another way of reseting it, but you need your cars 5 didit code. This should be printed on the code card which normally tends to live in your cars folder.
You have to enter this code, errr, using your accelelator pedal.
You have to put the key in and turn untill the code sign comes on the dash. Then press and hold the pedal all the way untill it starts flashing. Then let go. Now you have to press and let go the pedal the number of times as the first didit of your code. Once done let go and continue untill you have entered all the 5 digits, The immobliser shoud be reset now.
