Punto's.what is the shape with the bigger front lights called? MK1? MK2? MK3? im confused!!?

i pick my punto up saturday & wen people ask me what one is it i dont know!! 'its the one with bigger lights' is all i keep saying!! someone enlighten me please x x

I would call it a Mk 2 facelift.

The Mk1 was the original (1993 to 1999).
The Mk2 was 1999 to 2006, with a facelift in 2003.
The 2003 model was only a facelift, so to me that isn't a new Mk.
A new Mk needs to be a new car (completely new body, new interior, possibly a new platform) in my mind.
The "Grande" Punto is the Mk 3 to me.
Its called a grande punto, much larger that previous puntos and the third generation so I guess a Mark 3, so much better than marks 1 and 2 and great styling by guigaro, - impress tham all and tell them it looks like the front of a Maserati!

i think it is the mk4 yours looks like it is the newer one just before the grande punto hope this helps you out
