I am assuming that you mean 4x4's that are available in UK as opposed to made by UK companies. My personal choice would be the Audi Q7, as I prefer a seven seater and it has a sleeker design that most 4x4's.
It all depends on what you are going to use the car for, mainly off road then a Land Rover is unbeatable, mainly on road RAV 4, Audis and loads of others. I had a frontera that was a dog on the road but very impressive off road
It all depends on what you want it for. If you want a no-nonsense off-roader, then Land Rover is the place to be. They may have questionmarks over reliability but their off-roading technology is second to none. Personally I think the new Discovery is awesome. If you've a smaller budget then the Nissan X-Trail 2.2dCi is pretty cool, or the Kia Sorento, due to be facelifted later this year.
