Why is UK-assembled Nissans not as good as the Japanese ?

I have had many Japanese-made Nissans which all have been
excellent.
Two years ago I bought a Nissan Almera built in Sunderland UK.
This has given me nothing but worries.

Answers:
unskilled workers doing a skilled job (not many car workers are qualified in engineering)

Unions-stop the manufacturer from giving the shoddy workers a bollocking!
The Nissan plant is based in Washington. Have you ever seen the people in Washington?.*shudder*
I agree with that guy! I grew up in Washington, an I ran away as quickly as I could! (was gonna drive away in my Nissan, but it broke!)
Because the USA is too greedy to let other people benefit from the new technology from Asia to other countries!
Nissans were made in Japan, but if there not made in Japan, and imported to the US, I would say its a crappy car.
We had a UK made Nissan Micra for nine years and it was the most reliable car we ever had. Never let us down. Sounds like you were unlucky
Actually it's probably the model rather than the plant. Sunderland is a benchmark-level plant for management and efficiency. You should tour it sometime and you'll see what I mean.

The Micra made there is rated very well. Sorry the Almera hasn't been dependible though.
