Do you need to take theory test for motorbike licence if you already hold car licence?
Answers:
you have to take seperate theory test.
if you go onto the dvla website you can see all the permutations about the test requirements.
Best bet is to go for the full license, the restricted license is a waste of time but all depends on how old you are and when you passed your car test
no you can ride up to 125 with L plates
Yes, you will need to take a separate theory test. Although the Highway Code is generally the same, there are some differences relating to motorbikes, and there will be some questions in the test that reflect this.

speak to your loacl motorcycle training centre and they will be able to guide you as it may depend when you passed your driving test
YES you do.

no.
Yes, you will need to do the motorcycle theory test. Sorry.
Here in North Carolina if you already have motorcycle license you just have to tell them to leave it added onto your regular class c license. if you get them pulled or expire then you would have to take the written and road test.
