That is an interesting question! With technology going in all directions these days privacy is important to protect.
However, the vehicle is the property of the company and therefore they have the right to be able to track its use and location.
If you are going to go where you do not want them to know, I recommend you get another car (borrow, buy, what-ever) to travel to those locations.
You can ask the company to put in a switch because of your concerns, but that will likely raise suspicions about your off-hour habits.
Even with a switch you could run into someone from the company at your private location so privacy is only an illusion at best.

wekk i dont know what kida system you have but i drove a truck for a trucking company and it had qualcom on it when i was close to home and didnt want them to know i went home i would stop at a truck stop turn in off and put alluminum foil over the reciver and start the truck up and go home
