The film Bullet.Steve mcqueen.?

Why was there no mustang badge in the grill? was that model horse free?

Answers:
Bullit..been there, drove the route.they used a highland green 1968 Mustang GT 390 Fastback for Steve McQueen's character.

For the film they actually used two 1968 Fastbacks. Max Bachowski was hired to modify the cars for the high speed pursuit scenes. He added stronger springs and Koni shocks, fabricated braces for the inner fenders.

After the filming, one of the cars was junked. The other showed up in 1970 in a classified ad in Los Angeles Times for $6000. The car was sold to a person on the East coast. It was reported that Steve McQueen actually called the New Jersey owner and tried to buy it. The new owner wouldn't sell it. It remained in New Jersey until the mid '90's when it was moved to a hay barn in the Ohio River Valley. It remains inoperable and although many have made offers, the owner still declines to sell.

As far as the pony goes, I don't know.
Probably had it stolen, but what a car chase, voted best car chase in the movies
You mean BULLIT?

It was a green Ford Mustang 1965 (if I recall correctly)
For some reason Hollywood isn't allowed to show the make of a car.Yeah I know like who wouldn't know a Mustang when they see it.
This isn't true for all movies or cars, It all depends on what deals they make.
I don't know why there is no Mustang emblem in the grill. You spelled Bullit wrong. Good movie though, right?
NO, it's spelt BULLITT (yes 2 tee's)

The mustangs (they used two of them, a standard and a GT from what I read) belonged to the FORD motor company and it were given to the studio for promotional purposes to use in the movie.

The movie also has many mistakes in because of it's complexity
http://www.imdb.com/rg/title-tease/goofs.

"Continuity: During some shots, the Mustang has an exhaust pipe below the rear bumper (a standard Mustang); during others, the exhaust pipe is set within a hole in the bumper itself (a special issue Mustang GT)."
Yeah it was a real mustang. I heard that it was Steve McQueen's own car at one point.
But the movie industry aggravates me if you listen to the car in the chase scene, Its not the sound of a Ford Motor but a Chevy.
Leave it to a moron to foul that up lol.
