What is more harmful diesel omission or unleaded?? Answer only if you really know please do not guess!!?

Answers:
Diesels produce higher levels of particulates liked to ill health, p10. The number of deaths due to P10 is probably in the 1,000s. Source UK chief scientific advisor.

Diesel gives greater mpg, so should cause less CO2 emmision than petrol, so slightly less climate change - probably the most dangerous pollutant.

Given battery vehicles can meet most of our motoring needs, (tZero outaccelerates a ferrari and >200miles per charge) and give a much improved driving experience, quiet, smooth smell free, refuel at home or work., why are we still addicted to any form of fossil fuel. see forthcomming film "who killed the electric car".
It has been said that prolonged exposure to diesel smoke may cause cancer
unleaded.

A well tuned diesel has very little emissions.
Depends on the engine (!), old diesel is horrible though. There was a story recently about kids getting sick from their school bus.

That said, Diesel in Europe is much, much cleaner than the old smoky diesel we are used to in the US, and new tech, and biodiesel (made from vegetable oil) are cleaning diesel way, way up.
they are both about the same except for the NOx emission levels which cause green house gases. The diesels emit more NOx emsiions the Gasoline engines do.

That's like asking which water is wetter. lake water or ocean water..
i don't know so i won't answer
biologically. sorry i really cant say. but breathing diesel ,even for a moment, will not only make my eyes water but sets off my worst asthma attacks. it cant be good.
Presently in America diesel engines produce higher levels of harmful emissions , manufactures like international/Detroit diesel/Cummings just for a few are working very diligently to bring these levels down .they have in just the past few years developed an EGR Engine and have done alot of research on fresh air induction(exhaust) and catalytic converters and are beyond what the federal gov. has mandated for acceptable levels . By the year 2010 diesel engines are expected to be cleaner burning than gas engines..
You would be surprised at how little most people care about this subject, but I have found tons of studies about emissions and it looks like diesel is pretty mush the worst.by quite a bit. Prolonged exposure,( though they don't know exactly how dangerous), causes a lot of health issues, and not just cancer.
Diesel exhaust is a listed carcinogen - ie; cancer causing emission.
Diesel currently is, but check your local fuel station later in the summer. Better diesel is on it's way.
Diesels tend to emit more particulates which are tiny particles which are bad for people with breathing difficulties, but some now have particulate traps. Petrol is lower on particulates and higher on some other things especially if it is a older vehicle without a catalytic converter. Also diesel tends to be more fuel efficient so produces less CO2 so less of an impact on global warming
burnt engine fuels produce among other things mostly CO carbon monoxide - not CO2 as stated in other answers. most harmful - depends on the concentration - and over what time period - also depends on whether the car has a cat fitted or not.
In the UK dirvers pay a higher tax premium on diesel as it is recognised as being more polluting due to the 'particulates' in diesel exhaust fumes.
