Tips for passing my driving test?
Answers:
"Just show up." That's what a paramedic who was dealing with my anxiety told me about the road test. To this day, I haven't been able to get up the courage to go for it. So - I know if you just manage to show up, you're head and shoulders over me. I'm 63. One day I will just feel, what the heck, and I will go for it and probably pass it. I will be holding good thoughts for you in that week and a half and I know you will do so well on it. Just try your best to check everything before you go for it. do the parallel parking thing slowly so you can keep control every single second of while you're doing it and one last thing: my teacher Karen told me: "If you remember nothing else I teach you remember this: never allow your car to move backward unless you are looking backward. If you need to look ahead of you, stop your car completely first, and then look. If you look around forward while your car is moving backwards, you will fail the test." So, hat's off to Karen. I hope I haven't scared you. I will be pulling for you with all my might so your test will be a success. Sent to you with loads of support from G. in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A.
Avoid telephone poles.
dont crash
Practice, practice, PRACTICE.
be calm and secure of yourself
ask your friends if they have their test so you can study it
they only have like 4 or 5 tests and the questions are repeated on many of the tests
Feeling nervous prior to a driving test is perfectly normal, and the examiner will be expecting this. The one I had joked "Well, I'm not nervous, so I don't see why you should be !!"
Just think of it as taking a friends father/mother for a safe drive..
Your driving instructor will probably be taking you around all the different test routes for that particular centre. If you make a silly mistake on a lesson prior to the test, don't let this put you off. You normally perform better in a driving test than you would do on a lesson because subconsciously (on a routine driving lesson) you're allowing yourself to make mistakes knowing that the driving instructor is effectively a copilot.
Also, don't try to speculate during the test whether something you did caused you to fail. You might think something caused you to fail but it actually turned out to be a minor fault. Just do your best, irrespective of how you think its going, and just wait for the result at the end.
Best of luck !!

This does not just apply to your driving test, but to your entire driving career. Anticipate hazards before you reach them, then you will be able to deal with them safely.
