Central Locking?
Answers:
I had a similar problem with my '93 clio 16v. I had to replace the solenoid (The transponder which recieves the signal to lock/unlock) as it could only ever unlock, strangely. Also I have heard of deadlocks on cars being reversed. My Nan has a Vauxhall Astra with Deadlocks and her deadlocks dislodged, so instead of twisting the key to 3 o/clock to open, twisting to 3 o/clock was regular lock, instead of deadlocks locking at 6 o/clock anti clockwise, it was 12 o/clock the doors deadlocked. She was forced to use the passenger door to unlock the drivers door by reaching accross!
Anyway. Be wary if the car has a deadlock as this could stop it locking, and also be wary of the solenoid. Another thing is if the car has an immobilisor, is it functioning correctly? One other thing, try replacing the keyfob battery, sounds silly i know, but can actually make a difference.
Good Luck
