They have a lot of bikes for sale, but it's difficult to use the site and you probably need to register to really use the site effectively.
Bike Trader: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/bikes/.
They have lots of bikes for sale too (21,512 to be exact) but you need to know what make/model you want to search for.
Or Yahoo! Cars: http://cars.yahoo.co.uk/b/a/c_173701_mot.
This site is by far the easiest to use and search on, allowing you to search by price without having to narrow down make/model, but they have far less bikes on there.

BEWARE, you're going to be looking at a lot of bikes that need all kinds of work doing to them to keep them running. Check them over carefully.
Alternatively save up a bit more and get a newer bike in the 1000 pound range, you'll save a ton on repair bills.
