How do I put a total loss back on the road?

My M reg granada was recently written off because of a dent in the wing and a crack in the bumper, thanks to an idiot reversing into me at a junction. I retained the salvage and was wondering what I have to do to get it back on the road?

p.s, it was a cat D write off for uneconomical repair, nothing dangerous.

You would need to contact your local department of motor vehicles and ask them. Usually you will need to fix the vehicle, contact your local police department to do an inspection, take the inspection form to the DMV to get a new title for it. In indiana you need to have receipts where you got the parts to fix it ,and the police inspection then you are issued a "rebuilt" title
cat d no problem just repair it and go
I would save up for a new one if I were you, though having lost my first and favourite car as a complete (and dangerously unsalvageable) write-off, I can understand the desire to get it fixed if you can! Chat to your local car repair centre.
