Where can I get an original (or v good second hand) front mudguard for a GS850G ?

Answers:
have you tried ebay?
Bl*ody Hell that's a blast from the past. Lovely old shafty! Apart from the obvious Ebay, try the Suzuki Owners Club, and scour the magazine racks at WH Smiths for publications such as Classic Motorcycle Mechanics. Failing that try the Stafford, Malvern and Bath & West events, there's bound to be someone who can make you a replacement from chrome, even if you can't find one

Good luck and I really hope the restoration goes well! (It was the first "big bike" I ever rode and I remember it scared the bejesus out of me as well as the Scirocco driver I overtook ;-)
Post or search on craigslist.com under your local area.
