Toyota avensis y reg 2001 1.8 is this engine fittrd with timing belt or chain?

Answers:
THAT GUY IS RETARDED. I CURRENTLY WORK FOR TOYOTA AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT A LOT OF 4 CYLINDERS WERE AVAILABLE WITH CHAINED MOTORS. AS FAR AS AN AVENSIS. NEVER HEARD OF IT, MY PARTS CATALOG ONLY ACCESSES AMERICAN RELEASED MODELS AND THAT IS NOT ONE OF EM. GIVE ME THE AMERICAN PRODUCTION AND I CAN TELL YOU FOR A FACT, BUT AS AN EDUCATED GUESS IM GOING TO SAY A 1.8 IS A CHAIN AS LONG AS IT IS THE 1ZZFE MOTOR OR THE 2ZZFE MOTOR.
she's got a chain.
It has a timing belt. Nedds to be changed every 80,000 miles and while it's being changed with the front off the engine, it would be a good idea to go ahead and replace the water pump.if you are gonna keep the car.
Toyota never made a engine with a timing chain I should know I work 4 toyota as a tech.
