Can the power valve on a yz 125 stop the bike from starting?
Answers:
Yes it can if you rotated the drum so that the exhaust port is completely blocked.
Running without it will make the bike exceptionally vicious with power coming in like flicking a light switch on. You WILL flip it.
Yes this is an integral part of your engine. Get it repaired or if you do start the bike it might cause more damage and end up costing you a lot more
depends on the year. if its the type that can slide into cylinder and damage piston yes it will stop bike from starting. You need owners manual, shouldnt be much more than $20.00~$30.00 and will save you a bunch of cash. did you check spark plug and clean/replace?
the 'power band' is the operating range of engine, not a physical part so you cant remove it
just scrap it and buy a proper bike- a kx125. pure rocket of a bike!!! Trust me i had a yz125 too but it packed in!!
I agree, remove your pipe and make sure that it isn't blocking the port completely. Over time the splooge develops in the valve and causes it to stick. I have never ran a bike without the pv, but don't think you would like the way it would run. Make sure it is connected like the illustrations in your book.good luck
