Who made the bsa gt 50 in1981 due to the fact i cant find parts?
Answers:
BSA made a 440 single in the 70s called a Victor but not a DT 50, if you are not in England send me an email with some more information and I will do some research
According to the linked advert its a moto morini engine with del orto carb. Dunno who bolted it all together though.
NVT or Norton Villiers Triumph. They also did a bigger trailbike based on the yamaha DT175 called the Brigand.
Not a very long lived firm I'm afraid.
If you want parts for ANY Brittish bike you need to contact Vale-Onslow in Birmingham. They have just about everything.
p.s. I have no connection to them other then as a customer
The engine was an Italina Moto Morini, put together by NVT who bought out BSA. Morini went bust, so did NVT. I think you will struggle to get bits for this bike. Do a google search on "BSAOC" for the BSA Owners Club. They have a monthly magazine where you can see adverts for parts and get info on particular models. Also try contacting Drag'n'Fly motorcycles in the UK - they sell lots of obsolete BSA ,Triumph, Ariel, and Norton parts.
Morini didnt go bust. they ae still there today..
