Is it worth paying a speeding fine of $50.00 from arizona USA when I live permenantly in the UK?
Answers:
Sometimes it's best to keep your accounts clean. You never know when you might visit that area again. Plus all agencies use computers to keep records which can last for 30 years are better. But if you are never planning on going back, then maybe not. Nothing that they can really do unless you return and they stop you in the future.
Good Luck
i dont think it will matter if u were only on holiday??
nope.. i dont think they will extradite ya from az for a 50 tkt.. but just so ya know, tickets dont really expire. so if you go bk to az..dont get stopped
You will get a few letters but, as I understand it, they cannot pursue it in any practical sense.
HOWEVER, if you ever go back to the states I would put a large bet on getting your collar felt when you arrive at immigration!
Personally I would just pay it and be done with it.
You will be detained under the USA law..of course you have to pay it, its only $50.00! People cant go around breaking the law and getting away with it cos they are on holiday..
of course not. Unless of course, you are planning on being back there every year, or anytime soon, but if you're never going back, it doesn't matter
No, fk them,
If you don't have a drivers license from our country then I don't see
how they can really do any thing to you. you should call your embassy or nearest consul general office. and ask them.
$50 is approximately £25, so just pay it and be done. At least its not £60 and 3 points on your licence (or worse depending on your speed!). Then you won't have in preying on your conscience.
$50.00 is cheap. If it doesn't matter to you that you'd be skipping out on a fine that you lawfully incurred though breaking the law then who am I to reset your moral compass?
Legally, if you do not pay the fine, you have to show up for court. If you do not show up, then the police generally put out a warrant for your arrest and you are charged with "failure to appear". They won't 'go after you' in the UK, but should you return to the US and there is a warrant for your arrest on file, I wouldn't do any driving if I were you. Besides, that could come back to haunt you if the INS and customs find out through your ID check.
If you don't pay the $50.00 fine. America will place you on a terror watch list. You will be tracked by satellite and a AC-130 gun ship . A reward will be offered for your capture to your neighbors. You will be then sent to Guantanamo to take part in a military tribunal. Do you really want to be a terrorist and part of the axis of evil? Just pay the fine and your life will be fine.
you think american authorities are stupid and will let you off
if they have to come and find you there is more than 50bucks to pay
i would you'll probably get called back over and get the death penalty!
Yes lol you went to fast abroad besides next time you won't speed. Find a race track there you can go as fast as you like hun.
If you plan to return and don't want the amount be more later.
From what I know about UK authorities, any extra work involved means the issue will be disregarded. Are US officials well known for going the extra mile, just for the principle?
Amelia753 is correct.
This happened to me recently - only my fine was $200 !
If you do not pay it they will not come looking for you in the uk.
However, by not paying you will have missed your chance to avoid
a court hearing. If you get caught speeding or doing anything
illegal in the same state again then the warrant for your arrest
will flag up. If that happens you will go STRAIGHT to jail. On thespot.
I'm serious.
So it's up to you if you think you'll never go back.
Personally i would pay it.
NO! Just do not visit the USA again, ever!
Yeah, I think they have a paramilitary task force that'll surround your house, and demand surrender. . No, I guess not.
The only repurcussions would be if you came back to the U.S. and were pulled over. In some areas, they may arrest you for failure to appear in court. (or payment) etc. But if you never returned, there'd be no repurcussions.
Pay the ticket , its the right thing to do
What does your concience tell you? :-)
no
'' No matter where you live, no matter who you are, the LAW applies for everybody!''
That's the way that the US people think about the laws.
Well that fine was cheap $50 for speeding is ok, sometimes those fines are really high expensive in some countries and cities.
But be very careful next time, try to not run alot on roads, or a police can catch you one again, and you'll have a points record in your driving license.
Well you could always end up on a rendition flight outta the UK.
