I have a 2005 Aveo 5..I just love it.Its a 5 speed, which I had to learn to drive after I bought it..I really love it, because, I have 2 dogs, and the back seats fold down, to create lots of space for the dogs.It is also hatchback..I also really enjoy Chevrolet service.Second to none!
i thank god chevy is still cranking them out
It looks funny but I don't change my VW Gol for anything! Would you ride with me?
I think there great, the 1.6l engine was designed by daewoo before GM bought them out. it has alot if zip for such a little engine, and alot of interior room for such a compact car, and lets not forget the price is definately right. we have seen little to no problems with them, i wish all gm products were as bulletproof.
Too small. Too ugly. Japanese built.
Just carry a can opener with you in case you are ever in a wreck so you can cut your way out
The EPA only rates this car at 27 city/34 highway.pretty sad for a tiny car with a 100-hp engine. A vehicle like this should get more like 40 mpg.
In comparison, my Corolla is a bigger, roomier car. It has a 126-hp engine and the EPA rates it at 30/38.I get about 35 mpg overall so it lives up to that.
If you want a cheap little car it is perfect
First of all top-down the car was Korean built not Japanese.
And fade0246 the engine is about 110hp and that's great for only $8,000..if you wanted better gas mileage the price would go up. Such as the Toyota Yaris 3-door($13,000), Honda Fit($14,000) and VW Golf($16,000), you can buy almost two Aveo's for the price of one Golf.
But for the question the Aveo is the prefect car not only is it the cheapest car in America. It has great safety ratings and more features than any car in its class. The LT Aveo which is fully loaded is only about $14,000 to $15,000 is better than most cars and 35mpg is GREAT!
Be warned, the Aveo is good until it starts getting high mileage. My Chevy dealer told me that the rocker arms need replacing near or around 75K miles. They are known for "sinking". I know for a fact of 2 Aveo's that had to have their heads rebuilt because of this. The dealers charge about $1500 for the job. And it's not because of the driver, it's the design. It's a cheap car that was built in Korea with the intention of not being a high mileage car. You've got to remember just how big Korea is. Oh and it clearly states on the door that the car is built in South Korea, not Japan.
Barf-mobile!! Ugly!! Weird shape!! Rather die than be seen in one!!!
