Your weirdest road trip ever?

Ever taken the wrong turn ur had a really mad road trip and ended up some place that you did not want to go?

Once drove from Roanoke, Va to Outer Banks, NC and took a slight wrong turn heading east through NC and ended up in the middle of this swamp land at like 9pm at night, hot as hell, humid as hell, more creatures flying around than I care to mention, and had to stop for gas at this really dodgy looking gas station..not good!
Dunno if this quailifes but..

My Aunt said she had found a little park that she wanted to take me and my 3 year old daughter and 9 month old son to for a picnic. She said she couldn't remeber where it was, but she knew it wasn't too far way. She said she'd recognize it as she got close to it. She did know the road it was on. ..4 hours later we got there. It was a nightmare.i didn't pack enoughh things for the kids for such a long road trip. She refused to turn around , claiming "we've gotta be getting close" for HOURS. That was 15 years ago. Everyone still gets a kick outta that, saying NEVER let Aunt Sue take you on a picnic.
