Can you tell the difference between a Volkswagen golf 1.6 and a 1.8 gti 8v engine whats the difference?

Answers:
The numbers indicated for the VW Golf are 1.6 litre and 1.8 litre.

The 1.8GTI is a Turbo Injected.

The 8V means there are eight (8) valves working off of four cyclinders.

The main difference between the two is overall power. This is noticeable primarily in the pick-up and go. Also when doing steep incline driving, the power is maintained with the larger litre engine.

All the best.
not reall know apart from the 1.8 has a bigger engine and uses more gas and is maybe a bit faster.
t
the 1.8 has .2 more liters of displacement
